ePassports for all Croatian citizens

S&T Croatia has recently participated in large national project - ePassports for Croatia - in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior. The ePassports contain a chip that stores biometric data of the traveler, such as facial details, fingerprints and iris recognition, in order to increase and ensure national security. This harmonization with international travel documents has brought Croatia a step closer to joining the European Union.

S&T Croatia consultants implemented the Entrust PKI Infrastructure and SafeNet Hardware Security Module, which were critical elements of the project. These solutions enable the process to run smoothly, from receiving the application to issuing the ePassport to citizens. This important system has been successfully launched on July 1, 2009.

In addition, S&T also developed a business application for the management of diplomatic passports and passports for the widespread Croatian diaspora.
