Solution

Output

Technical and software abilities of portal provide service of more than 50 users’ requests to server simultaneously with response time not more than 5 seconds.

Multilanguage

Portal supports several language versions. Information appears in accordance with user’s language environment. Furthermore there are administrative abilities to add new information with note of language version.

Architecture

Portal server (IBM Portal Server Express) operates on applications server (IBM WebSphere Server) and provides different modules of the portal with necessary services. IBM DB2 is used as a repository. Here all server settings, users’ profiles, data and web content are stored. Portal Document Manager (PDM) is used for data management. It is a Java application, launched in portal server’s environment. All documents that are placed there get an index and become available for all users that are authorized to use the document.

For storing different content (news overview, exchange rates, etc.) IBM Lotus Web Content Management is used. It consists of several modules that are responsible for content management- creation of performance templates, authoring and presenting data to the final user according to his role.
Personalization module operates in portal server environment and provides with opportunity to create different rules according to which the content of the portal is changing (depending on the role of the user.)

Collaboration of users is organized by IBM Lotus Domino: Lotus Sametime components
